Terms of Service
Effective date: August 18, 2026
These Terms govern use of the On Point Transportation app and transportation services. By creating an account, requesting a ride, driving through the platform, or otherwise using the services, you agree to these Terms.
Transportation services
Availability, pickup times, routes, arrival estimates, and trip durations may vary due to traffic, weather, road conditions, demand, vehicle availability, emergencies, and other circumstances.
Accounts
Users must provide accurate information and protect their accounts. Fraudulent use, impersonation, unauthorized access, and unlawful use are prohibited.
Ride requests
Riders are responsible for accurate pickup/destination information and being available for pickup. Changes may affect price and availability.
Fares and payments
Users agree to pay applicable fares, tolls, surcharges, cancellation charges, cleaning/damage charges where permitted, and other amounts disclosed or agreed to for requested services. Payments may be handled by third-party processors including Stripe and/or Square.
Cancellations and no-shows
Applicable cancellation or no-show charges may apply and will be disclosed as required.
Conduct and safety
Users must behave lawfully and respectfully and must not threaten or assault others, damage vehicles, interfere with safe operation, engage in illegal activity, carry prohibited or dangerous items, or use the service fraudulently. Service may be refused, suspended, or terminated when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or violations of these Terms.
Vehicle damage and cleaning
A rider may be responsible for reasonable documented cleaning or repair costs caused by excessive mess, contamination, or intentional/negligent damage by the rider or their party, subject to applicable law.
App use
Users may not interfere with the app or systems, introduce malicious software, gain unauthorized access, or use the service for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.
Privacy
Use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Service availability and liability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, On Point Transportation is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms and will post revisions with an updated effective date. These Terms are governed by applicable New York and federal law, without limiting consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
