Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 18, 2026
On Point Transportation (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides a transportation platform for riders and drivers. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when our app, website, driver services, and transportation services are used.
Information we collect
- Account and contact data: name, email, phone number, profile information, account identifiers, addresses, and account settings.
- Driver and verification data: driver’s-license information and images, vehicle and registration information, insurance documentation, profile photo, identity/eligibility information, and payout information where applicable.
- Location data: precise or approximate GPS location, pickup/drop-off locations, routes, trip distance, and driver/rider location needed to provide transportation, navigation, trip tracking, safety, and fraud-prevention functions.
- Background location for drivers: precise location may be collected while a driver is online, available for ride requests, traveling to a pickup, or completing a trip, including when the driver app operates in the background.
- Trip data: ride requests, trip dates/times, routes, fares, cancellations, trip status, ratings, feedback, and support/safety reports.
- Payment and transaction data: billing and transaction information. Payments may be processed by Stripe and/or Square; complete card details may be handled directly by those processors rather than stored by us.
- Device, usage, and analytics data: device type, operating system, IP address, app identifiers, interactions, crash reports, diagnostics, performance data, error logs, and security/fraud signals.
- Communications: support communications, in-app communications, ratings, reviews, complaints, and safety reports.
How we use information
We use information to create and administer accounts; verify drivers; provide, match, navigate, track, and complete rides; calculate fares; process payments, refunds, and driver payouts; provide customer support; investigate disputes and safety reports; prevent fraud; secure and improve the service; communicate service information; and meet legal, insurance, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
Maps, payments, analytics, and service providers
We may use third-party providers including Google Maps for mapping/navigation and Stripe and/or Square for payment processing, as well as hosting, communications, analytics, diagnostics, identity-verification, security, insurance, and fraud-prevention providers. These providers may process information necessary to perform their services and may have their own privacy practices.
How information is shared
Information necessary to complete a ride may be shared between riders and drivers. We may also share applicable information with service providers and with authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, enforcement of agreements, or protection of rights. We do not sell precise location information for monetary compensation.
Location permissions
Users can manage device location permissions through operating-system settings. Required ride or driver features may not function if location access is disabled. Driver background location is used when necessary for core transportation functionality and not solely for advertising.
Data security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No electronic system is completely secure. We retain information only as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain transaction and trip records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, meet safety and insurance needs, and satisfy legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements. When no longer required, information may be deleted or anonymized as appropriate.
Account and data deletion
Users may request account and associated-data deletion through our Account Deletion page or by contacting us. Some records may be retained where required or permitted for legal compliance, fraud prevention, safety, disputes, financial records, or insurance obligations.
Children
The service is not designed for independent account use by children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through independent registration without appropriate authorization.
Privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, users may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. We may verify identity before completing certain requests.
Changes
We may update this policy as our services, technology, or legal obligations change. Updates will be posted here with a revised effective date.
